• Use mild detergent while washing:- Only mild detergent should be used to wash your wool. Most of the properties of wool are the result of natural oil. If you wash a woolen cloth in regular detergent which removes oil, you will destroy your garment. Just soak your clothes in a bucket of cold water for about ten minutes with a few drops of mild detergent.
• Dry the garment on a flat surface:- You should never hang your woolen clothes to dry them. Wool absorbs a lot of water and therefore hanging them will cause the fabric to spread and lose its shape. Therefore, you should always dry it on a flat surface.
• Use steam heat while pressing:- When we dry, most of us iron our wool. This destroys clothes. Always use steam heat when ironing your woolen clothes. Also, make sure that you keep the fabric from the inside out and iron the inside. Before pressing, you should set the iron to wool mode.
