How to Choose the Best Sabian Accessories

When it comes to choosing the best Sabian accessories, there are a few things to keep in mind, if you want to get the best sound out of your kit. First and foremost, make sure the size of the cymbal is right for your style. Next, consider what type of sound you're looking for. Then, look at the other Sabian accessories that come with the cymbal. Finally, decide on the price and availability of the product.

In general, the types of drumsticks that are popular with Sabian drummers are mallets and sticks. Mallets are typically larger and have a softer feel than sticks. They're used for lighter strokes and can be hit harder if desired. Sticks on the other hand are used for heavier strokes and provide a more consistent tone.

You also need to decide what type of head or muffler your Sabian needs. Heads add tone and resonance to your drums, while mufflers reduce ambient noise pollution and create a tighter sound. Most heads come with either foam or felt padding, while Mufflers come in different materials including steel wool, rubber, and plastic.

If you want more variety when playing rhythms or want your Sabian to sound different from venue to venue, consider adding a set of cymbals or a hi-hat pedal.

Cymbals range from small Asian style bronze gongs to large crash cymbals that can be mounted on stands or played with an included foot pedal. Hi-hat pedals offer even more variation by allowing you to play multiple patterns at once including open hi-hats (no stick), closed hi-hats (with  a stick), and ride cymbals (with a bell).

Keep these tips in mind when shopping for Sabian accessories and you'll be on your way to sounding great on the kit.
